Inside every level

More than words: reading, grammar and how English works.

Every level has 20 lessons and 4 Bonus Classes. Here is what runs through them, step by step.

1Phonics, sound by sound

Level 1 teaches every letter sound in 8 groups, Level 2 adds sh, ch, th, blends, magic e and vowel teams. Every practice word and story uses only sounds already taught, so children read on their own.

Levels 1–2
2Reading Lab

Six illustrated texts per level, set in places children know. Studied words glow and show their Arabic, and six questions go from "find it" to "think" to "you".

Levels 2–6
3Grammar and common mistakes

One grammar point per lesson: the pattern, the rule in English and Arabic, practice, 10 checks, and the mistakes Arabic speakers usually make.

Levels 3–6
44 Bonus Classes

After every four lessons, a class on how English works (sounds, spelling, grammar, word history) compared with Arabic, with a mission board at home.

Every level
5Level test and certificate

After 24 classes: a 30-question test from the level's own lessons (pass 70%), then a certificate with the score, attendance and what your child can now do.

Writing is part of every level: short answers to real questions, a writing sheet for each lesson and spelling in every homework, with Arabic help whenever it is needed.

  • 1
    Write or say your answer

Writing & Speaking prompts in the English Hub for every level. Type the answer (it is saved) or record it out loud, with the question in Arabic too.

  • 2
A writing sheet for every lesson

A printable writing sheet for every lesson at every level, done at home: tracing on school lines for the youngest, copying and building sentences in Levels 1-2, and a plan-write-check writing task from Level 3.

  • 3
    Spelling in every homework

Each homework asks the child to type the new words, so reading, listening and writing grow together, and parents see the results.

From 4 all the way to 15. Lumio has 7 levels, each built for a specific age range, from a child’s very first English words to real conversation.

Both. Your child prepares in the app, then joins a real, live class with their teacher on Microsoft Teams. The app isn’t a replacement for the teacher; it’s what makes the time with the teacher count.

Take the free placement test. It’s quick, and it places your child at the right level automatically based on their real result.

Yes. Pick your child’s age group and book a free trial class, in the same format as a real Lumio lesson. No card, no commitment.

No. Arabic is built into every lesson from the start: every word, every instruction and every spelling rule has its Arabic alongside it.

Homework, right away: real sentences to practise, words to spell and a quick quiz, all tied to exactly what was covered in that day’s class.

Four extra live classes in every level, after lessons 4, 8, 12 and 16. They explain how English works (sounds, spelling, grammar, where words come from) and compare it with Arabic. They are included in the level price: one level = 24 classes.

From your child’s page: pick a day, a time and a teacher, or set a fixed weekly schedule. Up to 4 children at the same level and lesson share a class, up to 3 classes a week, and you can cancel up to 30 minutes before.

After each class the teacher gives a grade and a short comment. Your child’s page shows every lesson’s prep, attendance and homework, and each level ends with a test and a certificate.
